As a new mom, one of the things I had to get used to was the idea of not having as much me time as I was once used to.
Although my “me-time” has considerably grown since Alína turned 1, I am still yet to have a few hours to catch up on a good book.
Social Media and the internet can be great but they can also be draining now and again I loved escaping into a book. There’s something about having an opportunity to reconnect to thoughts and stories written on paper. If you haven’t experienced the love of a good short read, maybe this Mother’s Day is the perfect time to get reacquainted.

It is so easy to get lost in the matrix of grinding and trying to learn to balance Motherhood, being a partner or wife, while also working. It’s important to remember that you are not a robot, you are a human being. As a human being, it is so easy to forget the part of being a human that requires us to be. New moms, whether you’re into meditation or not, use Mothers Day as a stepping stone to creating a schedule that permits you one hour to just be. Whether that looks like meditating or just being still, know that there is no right way to meditate. Do what feels right to you and enjoy a moment of solemn, I promise you won’t regret it.
