Traveling in your first and second trimester is different from traveling in your third trimester.

While it’s still enjoyable to travel in your third trimester, traveling comes with a few more stipulations.

In your third trimester, there is a cut-off date on when you can no longer travel in your third trimester.

I love traveling, but I had to slow down in my final days of being pregnant. As an avid travel lover, I thought that that part of me would not change, but hon-tey, I was wrong!

My desire to travel long or short distances was zero. I felt too heavy and tired to be adventurous.

So if you’re looking for adventure like I always was, you may have to wait until the baby is born.

But if you’re looking for an opportunity to travel and have a nice break while in the early to mid-stages of your third trimester, here is a checklist on what you will need and what you should double-check in order to ensure a fun and safe getaway.

Wondering what to pack in your overnight bag for you and the baby? Here is a short list of the essentials to make sure you bring when you travel:

A copy of your birth plan
Postpartum underwear
Feeding bra
Night pads
Toiletries
Slippers
A large soft towel
Toothpaste
Extra Blanket

Carrying the necessities for your baby is just as important as making sure you have your own necessities. My biggest fear was going into labor in a different city. I knew that it was always better to be safe than sorry so I created the below list for myself, in case of an unexpected delivery.

3 baby outfits- ideally baby grows
3 baby vests
Socks- If outfits are footless
Mittens
Hats
Pacifier- but the hospital can provide this
Car seat- most if not all hospitals won't allow you to leave without a car seat.
Baby Blanket
Burp Cloth

Although the hospitals can provide you with most the essentials, if your anything like me, you may want to also carry a few personal items for the baby that you have purchased.

If that’s the case make sure you have them organized and ready to go.
