Avoid Using Lubricants That are NOT Natural.
I would usually advice not using lubricant all together but, if your in need of extra lubrication avoid using anything that is not natural. Most over-the-counter lubricants inhibit sperm. If you need lubrication during intercourse, use a lubricant specifically made for couples who are trying to conceive, like Pre-Seed. You can also use:
- Sweet almond oil.
- Virgin coconut oil. Coconut oil is a popular DIY lube choice for good reason.
- Olive oil.
- Avocado oil.
- Aloe vera.
- Ghee.
- Nagaimo.
Bare in mind that there are also dietary management that can help enhance natural lubrication. Phytoestrogens in soy help keep your vagina lubricated, but don’t go for the overly processed stuff like soy burgers or nuggets. Stick with edamame, tofu, tempeh, and miso. Avocados, apples, flaxseeds, and water.
Reduce Your Caffeine Intake.
To any working woman this sounds insane! But sis I promise you it is worth it, not just for your fertility but overall body health.
Try to limit to no more than two 8oz cups of coffee per day or less as well as staying away from caffeinated products such as coffee and sodas.
One study of 9,000 Dutch women found that drinking more than four cups a day cut the chances of conceiving by about a quarter. Now scientists think they have discovered why. Caffeine reduces muscle activity in the Fallopian tubes that carry eggs from a woman’s ovaries to her womb.
Trust me when I say, as a woman who works 9-5 and manages a blog, cutting out caffeine sounds like the devil. But as your body adjusts to your lower intake of caffeine you will soon be commenting below or contacting me to say thank you for this major fertility booster tip.
Take preconception vitamins.
There is no harm in getting started early. Begin the process of taking your vitamins before you conceive.
Preconceptions vitamins are essential to helping prepare your reproductive system for its journey to motherhood.
The fun thing about this is, you don’t have to do this alone.
Both men and women can benefit from taking pre-conceptual supplements which include antioxidants and folic acid. For men, L-carnitine can also improve sperm quality. For women, folic acid can reduce the possibility of neural tube defects (such as spina bifida) and decrease miscarriage. DHEA and Co-Q10 can help women over the age of 35 recruit healthy eggs.
Yoni Steaming
I live for a yoni steam!
It’s a facial for your sacred space and has so many benefits in boosting fertility as well as assisting in the overall health of your vagina.
Yoni steaming is formula of Chinese herbs combined specifically to your constitution and then decocted over a single burner.
Yoni Steaming, also known as Vaginal Steaming, is the holistic practice of using the warmth of a gentle herbal steam to permeate the exterior of the vagina.
There are multiple businesses that offer yoni steaming but there is also the beauty and comfort and comfort of doing it in your own home.
During your treatment, you will simply sit on a sauna box that contains the burner and the herbal decoction and allow the steam to flow upwards. This process is incredibly nourishing to your feminine essence.
I practiced yoni steaming using my own herbs locally in Knoxville (which I also sell) and use as a DIY sauna method to create my in house yoni spa treatment.
There are multiple benefits to Vaginal steaming, especially for when trying to boost your fertility. Used as a natural remedy for cleaning the vagina, uterus, and the entire reproductive tract, this special form of steaming helps get rid of any potential blockages preventing your fallopian tubes from doing its job.
If you want to try vaginal steaming, talk to your doctor or a qualified alternative health practitioner to weigh the pros and cons for your situation.
