What Will Life Be Like When I Go Back to Work As A New Mom
I’m so excited to go back to work but what does that even look like as a new mom that doesn’t know how to leave her baby?
FLAIR
Honestly, I'n Afraid...

maternity leave is over
Surely, I’m not the only mom to-be afraid to go back to work after a baby? I love my job and couldn’t imagine not going back but I can’t help but feel like a child heading back to school after the summer. #ExcitedNerves

The time has come. My maternity leave is over and it's time for me to go back to work. It’s so funny because years ago I remember being so confused as to why moms would want to be “stay-at-home” moms. Like, why would you just want to be at home with your kid all day, doing nothing?
Welp.
I learned very quickly that stay-at-home moms are superheroes and are far from doing nothing, and I get the purpose and desire to be a stay-at-home mom.

Growing a human is hard. When they’re in an out of your body. Being a mom is already a full-time job, especially to a newborn, but us working mommas have to figure out how to give that love to our jobs and our children and, that isn’t easy. So once AlĂna was born, I was 100% towards the idea of leaving my job and being a stay-at-home mom.
But here’s the thing
I love my job. Like I actually adore my 9-5 and, there are a lot of us moms out there that are just as career-driven as we are family, but I still can’t help but wonder, what will life be like when I’m back at work? Although I’ve done a 180 in my priorities, I can’t help but wonder how I will do a 180 and still be 100% family orientated?

"At this point I need your input, for the 9-5 mommy out there..
How did you keep your priority on your family and still have your career at the forefront.”
The good side is, as a working woman of 20+ years and a family of four, my mom told me that those are the hardest questions to answer, but as a woman, you adapt, you learn, and grow with your family and career as the best multi-talker ever.
MOMs KNOWS BEST.
Now although that’s a pretty decent answer-#ThanksMom. I want to figure out a way to create a blueprint of emotions you can expect to feel when you go back to your 9-5 and how you can overcome those first weeks/months of separation anxiety. I may not have all the answers but, I plan to keep you all updated with my journey back in my office <3.

Needless to say, as a recovering control freak, I feel nervous that I won’t have all the answers, but I’m confident you all will love me regardless of my discovery and know that I’ll keep it all the way to 100 for you.
I guess we will do a 2-week catch up the end of next week. I’ll be sure to give you guys an update on how I reconnected with my 9-5 life as a new mommy. Wish me luck!
Here’s to finding out the true meaning of work/life balance.🥂
